2019 U.S. COLLEGIATE RAPID AND BLITZ CHAMPIONSHIPS
For the first time, Saint Louis will host the 2019 U.S. Collegiate Rapid and Blitz Championships, a new event for collegiate chess players. The tournament shall be treated as two back-to-back events that include a 6-round Swiss System rapid tournament and a 9-round Swiss System blitz tournament. The tournament is open to any students at post-secondary schools that meet eligibility requirements.
At the end of competition, the 2019 U.S. Collegiate Rapid Champion 2019 U.S. Women’s Collegiate Rapid Champion 2019 U.S. Collegiate Blitz Champion, and2019 U.S. Women’s Collegiate Blitz Champion will be decided. The event will determine invididual winners, as well as two teams: 2019 U.S. Collegiate Rapid Champions (team) and 2019 U.S. Collegiate Blitz Champions (team).
